so this next family I'm going to be really honest, and i didn't think were going to use me again. the first time they asked me to take their photos was about a year ago. i was soooo excited. this was going to be my FIRST real session for anyone that wasn't family or a really close friend. i was so nervous and felt extremely unorganized, and after an hour of taking pictures and chasing kiddos, i drove away from that session feeling a little proud and a little but like i wasn't sure this was really going to work. the hobby that i love may not be good enough to make something out of. but at least i knew that i could walk away from that moment knowing i did try my best. fast forward a few months and i got their Christmas card in the mail, and every photo on it was the ones i took for them that previous summer. i still get goose bumps even now just typing it. it was my real ah ha moment ( thanks Oprah!) that i may be able to pull it off... that it may not just be all my "friends" that like my love, but strangers too.

so thank you Brandon and Krista for being the flame to my firework, because this is truly a wonderful burst of light you have given to me. and i couldn't have been more happy to capture such a wonderful and amazing time in your lives. i pray there are many more to come! <3

today my little man turns four. its bitter sweet. hes a wonderful little man, but i sure do miss my little baby Zane. we looked a baby video the other day, and i hardly remember him that little. I'm so thankful for that gift of a video camera we got for a shower gift from my sister and mother in law. so with that here is the 4 year old loves picture. hes getting SO big!

For Shadda

So this is for my dear friend Shadda that i have known for a few years. She is a true inspiration to me. shes a wonderful mother and wife but ask anyone, is a even better friend! i was so nervous when she asked me to capture her announcement photos of her 2nd and LAST pregnancy. not only have i never done announcements before, but her opinion means so much to me and i have never done any photos of her family before. so i agreed to do it and the whole way there i was just praying that i could do this from my heart and just really capture this moment. i think i need to start praying more because her reaction to these made my heart want to explode with joy. hope you love these as much as well.. I do!

so i know that i have been pretty MIA recently... sorry. not going to lie blogging isn't as "easy" as i have thought. go figure! so this next entry is basically a recap of the end of my fall sessions. i just love these pictures! makes me wish fall was year round..

thank you to all of you that made my first year in "photography" just a blast! this is the best way to do my hobby and i hope it doesn't end ANYTIME soon!!!
